These are just a few of the special people who have visited Saylor during her first month of life. I'm sorry to all of those who have visited who are not in pictures.
Saylor went on her first trip to the bowling alley on June 9, 2011. She went with Mimi, Papa, Mama, Auntie Betsy, Aunt Joy, Mrs. Belinda, Stone, Cailin, and Grace. She spent most of her time sleeping while the rest of us watched the kids bowl. It was fun to watch and after the bowling fun we watched the kids play games in the arcade and then we went to Cancun to have dinner. It was a great afternoon.
On Father's Day, Saylor woke up a little grumpy and not feeling great so we were not able to attend church and we were a little sad about not being able to go. We were however able to meet Mom, Dad, Stone, Uncle Roger, Uncle Ritchie, and Aunt Pat at Arby's for lunch. Daddy was very excited because this is one of his favorite places to eat. It's kind of funny but the manager of the Arby's knows us (we go there so much) and he gave Eric and certificate for a free meal for his first Father's Day :). After lunch Stone came home with us and we played games and had a fun afternoon. Later on that night Mamere and Papaw came to visit Saylor and we had dinner at El Real (another of our favorites). It was a wonderful day! Saylor gave her Daddy a new Panasonic Razor, a mouse pad and a sweet card for Father's Day! She said Happy 1st Father's Day Daddy!
Saylor attended her first church service on June 5, 2011. It was very special because she got to sit in between her cousins Cailin and Stone. Cailin and Stone both wanted to sit beside her so this was the only solution. : ) Saylor wore her beautiful pink Feltman Brother's dress to church and was simply adorable. She sat in her car seat the whole time and slept. These are the pictures we took after the service.
Saylor attended service at the Oak Grove Church of Christ on June 5, 2011 at 10:30am and Don Davis is the minister.
Last Sunday, June 5, 2011 Saylor met her Great Grandma (Clyde Dickey) for the first time. We went to the nursing home about 7:15 and went outside in the courtyard. Grandma was very excited to meet Saylor and really seemed to enjoy getting to hold her. We can't wait until Saylor gets to go and visit Grandma again. It was a very special time for both of them. This was also the first time Stone pushed her in the stroller.
On Wednesday (June 1st) after Saylor came home from the hospital her Auntie and Papaw had a photo session with her and these are some of the precious pictures. She was definitely a real sport.
Eric and I gave Saylor her first sponge bath on Wednesday evening. Saylor loves to be warm so she didn't love bathtime. She actully cried through the whole event except for the washing her hair part. She actually loves to have her little head massaged and washed. After the bath her hair was sticking up everywhere (it was so cute) and her Daddy said I have that same hairdo after I shower. So, here is Saylor and her Daddy with matching do's.
First of all let me apologize for the delay in updating the blog. Our Internet went down last Thursday and we just got it up and running. I was very upset because this definitely wasn't a good time, there are so many new things happening.
Saylor's first trip to the doctor was on June 2, 2010 at 10:00am. She was examined by Dr. Behm and we were told she was perfect (we already knew that :). She was a very good girl during the exam and we were happy to find out that she had not lost any weight that she was exactly 6lbs. 5oz. her birth weight. After Saylor's visit to the doctor we went on a mini shopping trip to Babies R' Us, the mall for lunch, and Publix. At the mall, Eric and I were changing her in the family bathroom and Saylor decided she was going to pee on everything. Eric and I were cracking up and we had a great time on our first outing with our little girl.
