Hair

So Saylor is in this in between stage with her hair. I want it to grow but right now it looks like it desperately needs a trim or something. Her hair seems to grow much slower than other babies her age. I always like to pull it to the side and put a bow in it. Well the other night Aunt B decided she wanted to try and pull it into a ponytail. So, here are the pictures of Saylor's first ponytail. I don't think I will be taking her in public with her hair in a ponytail yet. She looks like a punk rocker.

Yo Gabba Gabba

I must confess that Saylor loves Yo Gabba Gabba (for those of you who don't know this is a crazy show that comes on NickJr). Saylor loves it so much that we actually bought her tickets to the Live Yo Gabba Gabba show in Charleston, SC and that is where we spent our Sunday afternoon. We got to sit on the fourth row and it was fun. When Saylor first started watching this show she had just turned 1 and I thought to myself what in the world is this crazy mess (it reminded me of that crazy telletubbies show). However, after watching it for several months I have found that the show has really great messages and teaches environmental friendliness. That goes along way in our family. Well here are few pictures from our trip and we brought Stone along with us because Saylor loves having him around and he actually had a great time to - just ask him about the confetti. :)

We couldn't take pictures during the show so this is all we have.

Valentine's Day Fun

We had a great Valentine's Day Eve and Valentine's Day. We started celebrating on Wednesday night by having a party at church. The kid's had a great time learning about God's love, decorating cupcakes and cookies, and playing games. Thursday we celebrated at home and celebrated not only the fact that it was Valentine's Day but it was the start of a 4 day weekend!!! Here are some of the pictures of our party and holiday.

Happy Belated Birthday to Aunt B

Well its been a week since I blogged.  I can't really give an excuse other than anytime my head hit the pillow putting Saylor to bed I went to sleep. Some how I managed to make myself get up tonight and I'm a week behind in blogging but I will do my best to catch up. Last Monday on February 4th we celebrated Aunt B's birthday. For anyone who doesn't know Aunt B is Betsy. We started out trying to call her Auntie B but Saylor calls her Aunt B and its really cute although Betsy is nothing like Aunt B from Andy Griffith. That Aunt B actually cooked - Ha!

Yes that cake says 36 - old woman :)

Saylor and Stone decided we needed to hear a little steel drums for Betsy's birthday
In addition to it being Betsy's birthday last Monday Saylor started Kindermusik class and she is having a great time. She really gets into the music and the motions, now we just have to work on the learning to share. That one is not going to be much fun. I know this because on Tuesday night she started gymnastics. This class was full of sharing and waiting your turn. We had several meltdowns at gymnastics hopefully tomorrow will be better for gymnastics class.

Love = Shoes & Accesories

My little girl loves shoes and accessories. It cracks me up because she likes to sit in her closet and try on all of her shoes especially her rain boots. She also has come to love hats, sunglasses, and other accessories. She likes to wear these things out to play, too. Last night we went to Marshall's and they had Crocs on sale. Saylor loves Crocs so I bought her a pair of blues one for summer. However, Saylor wanted to wear them when she got home, as soon as she got out of the bathtub (even before she got dressed), and all day today. She even pitched a fit last night when I wouldn't let her wear them to bed. Here are a few pictures of Saylor and her accessories in the past few days.

The famous blue Crocs!
 I LOVE my little girl!

Where did January Go?

Where did January go?  I feel like I was just sitting down and starting my blog over as a new year's resolution and now we are already in February. How are your resolutions going? Well I'm proud of myself my resolutions were 1) To keep up this blog so I can track how Saylor is growing and changing. (I'm still doing this although I have slacked a little this week) 2) To live more frugally (I'm happy to say Eric and I set a budget for January and stuck to it). 3) To plan meals better so I don't come home from work wondering what we are going to eat. (I'm planning menu's and this has really helped) 4) Most importantly - To walk closer to God and share my love of Jesus with Saylor. (The Lord has lead Eric and I to work more closely with the youth at our church so I really feel like Jesus has a special hand in this resolution :).

Well we haven't done anything to exciting this past week but we have had fun from day to day especially when the weather has been nice and warm. Here are some videos and pictures from the last week.
